A postcard to William Mary Schifferli at Innsbruck, from a friend or classmate visiting somewhere else in Tirol. Though the postmark is not legible, the “get well” nature of the message suggest a rough date of April 1908.

William at this time was sick with tuberculosis, and would soon return from school in early June 1908 to the family home in Buffalo NY to convalesce, but would pass away on 27-Jul-1908, a few months after this card was written.

Dear Schiff -

A few days up here I think would do you more good than weeks in Innsbruck. The fine meals and fresh air here would certainly give you an appetite. Hope to hear the best about you on my return.
